How to get more online reviews without asking awkwardly
May 22, 2026
Online reviews are one of the few things that reliably bring new customers through the door. They're also one of the most awkward things to ask for. Nobody wants their barista cornering a regular mid-latte to beg for five stars.
The trick is timing and automation. The best moment to ask someone for a review is right after they've had a good experience, and the best person to ask is a regular, not a first-timer who's still making up their mind.
So ask the right people, at the right time, automatically. After a customer has been in five times (or whatever number you pick), a friendly, on-brand message goes out asking if they'd leave a review. No barista involved. No awkwardness. Just your most loyal customers, nudged at exactly the right moment.
Do that consistently and your rating climbs on its own.
